Excalibur® VL24E
Ex e Emergency Fluorescent
The Excalibur® vl24e is a (Category 2) zone 1 Emergency fluorescent and has the same rugged design as the VL19. It also features up to four hours emergency operation in the event of a power failure. The vl24e is designed for offshore platform safe havens and muster points, emergency exists and escape route illumination.
The luminaire features remote switching on mains operation and over-voltage protection to 380V for 60 seconds.
The Excalibur® is designed for use with mono-pin (T8) and bi-pin (T8) lamps. The luminaire utilises HF electronic control gear giving a versatile range of voltages: - High Voltage - 220V to 254V ac/dc
- Low Voltage - 110V to 130V ac/dc
SYSTEM MANAGEMENT
The Excalibur® vl24e is also available with a battery system management that automatically self tests on power up every three months. The system management provides a visual indication using LED's to indicate the if the system is healthy, testing or potentially faulty.
To ensure long life, the system managed excalibur vl24e battery is automatically discharged to a preset level on a regular basis and then recharged to full (as new) capacity.
